1. About Me
“Angel”
Growing up as a teen I was always
self-conscience with issues of the
body. I, like all of us, was surrounded
by the media everywhere I turned
which repeatedly told me what
beautiful was, a long skinny body, flat
tummy, yah-dah, yah-dah, yah-dah. I
bought into it – and there begin the
eating disorder roller coaster that
eventually carried over into my
adulthood. It was a secret I shared with
no one.The mirror only showed my
imperfections, not yet understanding,
that our imperfections exist not in our
appearance but in our minds.
A few years ago I was introduced to meditation and oh boy! – was I enlightened. I
learned to go within and study at the greatest university known to man – the university of
“SELF” and was a daily participant in class, where I not only became the teacher but the
student as well. As a teacher, I opened myself to the greatest knowledge given - and as a
student, I received it. It was ALL in ME. I began to see where true beauty was born.
Before long my eating disorders came to an abrupt end and I began to eat healthy. I began
to see the beauty in my uniqueness, which before was considered a flaw. I cared about
life and being healthy in every area of it. I began to understand the true beauty and
importance of serving others – not just “people pleasing”. I began to dream of helping
others live a healthy lifestyle which not only included a healthy physical body but a
healthy mindset - without the heal-thy-self mindset - nothing ever heals. We seesaw
through life, and my children will tell you I have been “dizzy” long enough.
The soul became of greatest importance to me. Its where love and passion take their first
breath - and without thought - gives life to everything it touches - And with much
gratitude I am honored that it has kindly rest its finger on PUSH…
