NARAYAN
NAGBALI PUJA
▪ Narayan Nagabali Puja is a combination of two different
pujas. Which includes Nagbali Puja and Narayan Bali
Puja. Both these pujas are performed together as
Narayan Nagbali Puja. The reason for this worship is
that it is not known for certain what caused the death of
one of our ancestors. Therefore such ancestors wander
among the people of death as a result of which they
have to face patriarchy in this process the name of the
person or the pronunciation of the gotra is forbidden.
Therefore, this puja is performed only in the
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga area. Where Lord Brahma,
Vishnu and Mahesh are awake in the form of
Jyotirlinga.

scriptures that Narayan Bali puja should be done for the sake of the self-

Why is there a pitrudosha ?
▪ After the death of a person, if the person is not duly
cremated, shradh and tarpan, then his soul wanders
on the earth. Descendants born in such families
have to suffer a lot throughout their lives and this
defect persists from one generation to the next.
Pitradosh Narayana is removed by Bali puja and
nagbali puja removes the defect caused by the
killing of a snake or snake.

Why should Narayan Nagbali
worship?
▪ The rituals of Nagbali Puja are performed to get rid of the sin of Naga
killing. When a person kills or is involved in killing a naga. So such a
person has to face many problems. So such a person should perform
Nagbali Puja to find the satisfaction of this sin.

Narayan Nagbali Puja Vidhi:
Narayan Nagbali Puja takes three days. In which religious activities are carried out as
follows.
The shradhkar has to bathe on the Kushavarta shrine and wear new clothes.
Men should wear dhotis, kurtas and women should wear white sarees.
A man can perform this ritual alone but a woman cannot do it alone.
Take the resolution of worship and then do the trust. After that, the Kalash is installed.
Guruji Sri Vishnu and Yama are worshipped while installing the Kalash.
Shradhkarmas are performed by doing Vishnu Tarpan as well as Pranpratishtha,
Agniasthapana, Purushasukta Havana.
On the last day of the puja, Lord Ganesha is worshipped and thanked for carrying out all
the pujas smoothly.
Golden images of nagas are worshipped.
Guruji is given a daan-dakshina.
The last rites are performed by darshan and worship of Shri Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
and then the puja is concluded.
