Jon Hallett hired a design firm to transform his 120 square meter basement office space into a flagship retail store for his real estate agency in Reading. The objective was to create a sophisticated space that set a new standard in the local market. Designers renovated the entire space, adding new floors, walls, lighting, and rooms like a kitchen and glass-walled VIP meeting room. Subtle LED lights and flock wallpaper gave the store a boutique residential feel reflecting the agency's new brand designed by Muse and Ogle. The redesign guided visitors through the space from entry to reception to lounge with technology to private sales meetings. Overview of Objectives:
The main objective of this project was to develop an
un-used basement office into a sophisticated retail
premises that would raise the bar for letting agents in
Reading.
Jon Hallett had recently undergone a complete brand
redevelopment and our brief was to work with the
branding agency, Muse and Ogle to portray this in
a practical and innovative way.
Solution:
Everything was considered... from the entry system,
through to new heating, lighting and signage.
The entire 120sqm was re floored and redecorated to
a very high level. We also added x2 new rooms - a
kitchen and glass VIP room.
Subtle LED lighting added a real boutique feel while the
introduction of flock wallpaper both reflected the new
brand and gave the scheme a residential edge.
We gave the visitor a clear route through the office -
firstly they are ‘buzzed’ in, then greeted at the
reception desk before being seated in the lounge area.
Here they can browse the website on slick touch
screens and view potential properties on wall mounted
screens. From here, they are led either to the sales desks
or though to the VIP office with it’s new glass partition
walls and integrated fish tank.
The overall effect is on-brand, contemporary and
welcoming as well as having a real air of sophistication.
