Oracle Enterprise Manager up-gradation from 13cR1 to 13cR2.

1. Upgradation of Enterprise Manager 13cR1 to 13cR2
Environment Details:-
OS: RHEL 6.4
EM repository DBVersion:12.1.0.2.0
EM Version:13.1.0.0.0
Target DB Version:12.1.0.2.0
Note:- Please confirm the procedure in a testenvironmentbefore performing intothe Production.
Steps to perform before the Upgradation:-
Checkthe status of OMS and agentservices,alsotake a note of details(assignedportsfordifferent
componets,hostname etc)
 ./emctl statusoms(omsstatus)
 ./emctl statusoms –details(omsdetails)
 ./emctl statusagent (agentstatus)
Copythe EMKey fromthe currentOMS home to the repositorywhichismandatory,otherwise
upgradationwill fail inthe middle.Butdon’tforgettodeletethatEMKeyafterthe upgradation
otherwise itremainunsecured.Followthe below commandstocopythe EMKey:-
 ./emctl statusemkey(emkeystatus)
 ./emctl configemkey –copy_to_repos(copythe emkeytothe repositorydatabase)
 ./emctl configemkey –remove_from_repos (removethe emkeyfromrepositorydatabase – use
after completionofthe upgradation only)
Stop services for OMS, agent using the below commands:-
 ./emctl stop oms-all(stopoms)

2.  ./emctl stopagent (stopoms)
Backup of OMS home,agent and the repository database:-
1.Backup OMS home as below:-
tar -czvf /app/oracle/OMS_HOME.tar.gz /app/oracle/dbsec12c/product/EM13C/Middleware
2. Backup agent home as below:-
tar -czvf /app/oracle/agent13cR1.tar.gz /app/oracle/dbsec12c/product/Agent/agent_13.1.0.0.0
3. Take RMAN full backup of Repositorydatabase:
run {
allocate channel c1 type disk;
BACKUPdatabaseformat'/tmp/oem/FULL_emrepo_%u_%s_%p_%T'
plusarchivelog format'/tmp/oem/emrepo_Arch_%u_%s_%p_%T';
release channel c1;
}
Now, We can start the upgradationof EM 13cR1 to13cR2 afterdownloaingthe binaryfilesfromthe
edeliverywebsiteof oracle. Stage the downloadedbinaryfilesintoadirectoryandrun the below
commandto start the upgradationas shownbelow inthe snapshotandfollow thereafter.

16. OMS will be automaticallyupasthe part of upgradationprocessbutwe needtostart agentmanually.
