DR ARCHANA BATRA ( PT):
Dr. Archana Batra is a Physiotherapist, Nutritionist and a certified Diabetes Educator with
specialization in the areas of Orthopedic Physiotherapy, specialized Weight Management Diets. She has
over 10 years of experience in dealing with weight management issues and diet & lifestyle-related
disorders. Her credentials also include a Certificate in Nutrition for Health Promotion and Disease
Prevention from the University of California through Coursera. Given the necessity of soft skills in
today’s changing world, she also went through counseling courses from reputed institutions that have
helped her in effectively counseling patients as well as ensuring patient privacy.
In the beginning of her career, Dr. Archana worked with Medanta – The Medicity as an Obesity/Diabetes
Educator and Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research. During her stint in these institutions,
she successfully handled lifestyle related disorders especially weight management.
Dr. Archana believes that right exercise combined with the healthy diet is necessary for the complete
well-being of a person. Being a Physiotherapist with a special interest in Orthopedic Physiotherapy, she
follows a unique approach to the weight management especially if the patient has some associated joint
or muscular pains. Her weight loss plan includes a specially designed physiotherapy exercise plan along
with the weekly diet charts.
She holds contrarian views against fad diets for losing weight. Her patients, through her treatment tips
and techniques, have successfully managed to change their eating and lifestyle habits and develop a
new, painfree and positive personality.

Our approach in orthopedic Conditions:
We begin with the thorough examination of
the condition of the patient. This includes
observation, assessment through Manual
muscle testing, assessment of the ROM of the
joint and Specialized/ Clinical tests.
After this, we chart out a suitable program
which might involve :

Electrotherapy: Use of modalities like
TENS, US, IFT, SWD, Traction, Muscle
Stimulator, Cryotherapy, Hot Water
Fomentation, Paraffin Wax. These are
used to reduce pain and swelling.

Exercise Therapy:
Strengthening and Stretching Exercise
Program based upon the MMT and
flexibility of the muscles.

KinesioTaping:
Is done to take the burden off from the
overused/ injured muscle or to provide the
rest to the healing area/ muscle and hence
to fasten the recovery
