2. It is well known that practicing sports is a very
good way to help people on their development
of either personal or professional aspects.
Usually, people who practice sports are more
cheerful, more willing and carry life on a positive
way.
In my case, tennis has strongly contributed to
my personal and professional development.

I started playing tennis when I was 9 years old.
I like all kind of sports, especially Tennis because it
challenges me to concentrate even when I am winning.
Tennis helps me in all kinds of situations. I have lived in 7
different places in Brazil. This sport has helped me to meet
people and build excelent relationships in all of these
places.
When I am playing tennis I feel free and motivated to
achive my goals.
It also helps me to challenge myself and keep running
towards the top!

unexpected factors always show up when practicing
the sport.
The opponent might change his stragety, so strategic
thinking has to be implemented fast and with
determination.
Practicing tennis with different opponents teaches
one to sharpen his strategic thinking and to work
quickly and efficiently through complex and
unexpected game situations.

It is one of the most important tennis rule. I need to
be focused during all the match.
Playing tennis is a good way to strenghten the ability
to concentrate since it requires a lot of focus in every
detail, even if I am winning the game.
It also contributes to my personal and professional
development since the feelings and emotions are
very important aspects to control my mind. They are
channeled positively so it helps me to make better
decisions.

When practicing tennis in pairs, it is necessary to
trust the partner.
It is important to work towards the same goal and this
can only be done if both know their personal role and
how what they do affect the overral team’s
functioning.
It is not only necessary to plan the strategy together
but also to communicate without words. Each player
has to support the partner in every situation of the
game.

Practicing tennis gives me the oportunitty to meet
different people, make new friends and develop a lot
of professional relationships.
It also enhances the interaction between me and my
old friends. I have many friends that I have met at the
court and then they have become very close friends.
Tennis has been often practiced among business
people, so it allows me to get in touch with them.
Therefore, it makes it easier to relate with people
outside the job environment.
