 It is the arrangement of everything that appears in the frame –
setting, props, lightning and color, costume hair and make up, facial
expressions and body language, positioning and pace and visual
effect-. Mise-en-scene is a French term who means ‘placing on stage’.

5. SETTING AND PROPS
 Setting is an important visual element of the film . That inform to
the audience where and when the set is. That tell us too about
anything about the genre.

6. SETTING AND PROPS
 Settings can be a place totally created or a real place who correspond
with the sets the product want to show to the audience. In the following
picture, we can see in ‘Edward Scissorshands’ that everything look
created.
 Props are used to emphasize the setting. That give another information
about what the genre. In the first picture the gear are added too show that
the men who lived there was an inventor. In the second picture we can see
‘Edward’ with his Scissors hand .

9. LIGHTNING AND COLOUR
 Natural and artificial light is used in making a film , it has a big
influence on the look and the mood that is created like in ‘amerian
beauty’. Lightning is responsible for significant effect on each
scene, like when they use candle to illuminate a room.
 Lighting can give background to a scene, while also bringing out
the texture and detail in setting, décor and setting

11. LIGHTING AND COLOUR
We can used 3 kind of light :
 Three-point lightning: It is use to provide an illumination of the
scene. Its use with the key light, fill light and back light.
 High key lighting: The scene appear really bright and soft with very
few shadow.
 Low key lighting: The light is at a very low level, causing the frame
to be cast with large shadow.

UP
Costume, hair and make up are a big importance in Film. This is an
indicator about the period and the location and indicated which statue
social and the personality of the character.
‘Pirate of the Caribbean’ is a good example to show how the costume
hair and make up are important. That show exactly which period and
location is.

 Facial expression: Indicate the feeling of the actor.

actor or object
