3. Issues involved with the further increases of video streaming -Is the site legal? -Can Broadband continue to cope with this increase in traffic? - Quality of the video received - How to make money -Future video formats ISP’s are concerned about the amount of bandwidth used by video as this could lead to them having to improve the connections at the current prices. The quality of video will decrease if new video formats are not introduced as the infrastructure of the net will not be able to cope at this rate of usage. How to make money The business model is same as social networking sites as video link sites use advertising to make money and this relies on huge numbers of users . How so-called illegal sites still operate. Sites not deemed 100% legal like the giants Tudou and 54.com are based in china that has different copyright laws to the UK and cannot be shut down. These sites can be accessed from the UK and most link sites use these links via china. So UK based sites can just link to them in an attempt to be legal.
