  3. I think this is inviting the opposition to jump on the fact that they don’t believe procurement understand operational factors. It would be worthwhile highlighting the ‘joint objectives’ element though as this is key to any successful engagement that each side understands the other
  4. I think the savings levers are quite complex to get across in a short space of time (although maybe this is because I don’t know what you are going to say!!)It might be worth simplifying it to say that Procurement understand key finance departments indicators ie Cash Flow impacts, Buy vs Lease analysis, life cycle modelling, and that savings and benefits can be made through appropriate use of finance and not just negotiation (Seasonal Stock being a good example of this)
  5. If this is an example, it would be good to frame it in the way that this is why procurement adds value that logistics wouldn’t have the time / skillset to do themselves
