The ISES Secretariat
The Association has a permanent Secretariat which all members are welcome to use for
assistance in tracing manufacturers of marine equipment, to obtain technical information
needed, confidential information about integrity of ship owners or any other information
they might request as part of their day-to-day work.
The Secretariat assists its members to obtain payment of overdue invoices from ship
operators.
Class of Membership
The Association has two classes of membership as follows:
Member: They provide Shipowners, Shipmanagers and Operators with competent service
and repair facilities for all plant, equipment and machinery, including electrical repairs
and rewinds, electronic repairs, navigation and communication systems, engine repairs,
mechanical repairs with full workshop capability, hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs
and refrigeration/air conditioning system repairs.
Affiliate Member: Affiliate Members are manufacturers or suppliers of equipment.

International Ship Electrical and Engineering Association
ISES is essentially a non-profit enterprise that exists to co-ordinate and market the international
activities of its member companies. To help achieve this aim it employs a Secretary General. As a
group, the objective of ISES is to unite an independent, high quality worldwide network of members
to provide electrical, mechanical, electronic and specialised services to the marine industry.
The ISES Association is an organisation whose members have all been carefully selected to ensure
that the Association maintains a very high level of dedicated and specialised expertise to ensure
customer satisfaction, wherever in the world they are called upon to provide a service.
The vision of the ISES Association is to provide Ship Owners, Operators and Managers with quality
service throughout the world in the Marine Electrical, Electronic and Engineering sectors.
