The characters below play a big role in the musical play.Stephen Matthews as ZazuDamian Baldet as TimonKeith Bookman as PumbaaAndile Gumbi as SimbaAva Brennan as NalaGeorge Asprey as ScarShaun Escoffery as MufasaWhy you enjoyed it? /Why it appealed to you?I really enjoyed everything about the play because the musical was full of colours and also I felt that I was taken to Africa as everything was based around Africa and through Lion King I learned about the culture of Africa. The use of Puppets were very effective as kids love toys and to see the toys move and come to live was very interesting and I felt that anything was possible as the atmosphere was amazing because Lion King had build that sort of enjoyable, excited, adventures atmosphere and this was done through their acting and dedication. Through the acting and enthusiasm which came out of the Lion King cast brought a really positive reaction from the audience because everyone stood out well, they all stayed in character throughout the play and everyone one was aware of what they were doing. The lighting, dancing and sing were so amazing because everything went really well together and it was all in time. Too many things were going on at once on stage and but it was all done in a very creative way so that the audience does not get confused. Over all I loved watching lion king because it appeal to me very much as I was a child and I found everything so fascinating and was full of colour. Overall I loved The Lion King and I would recommend it to anyone to go and watch the theatre play and enjoy it as much as I did. What special effects were used? The special effects were used when at one point when the actors where flying on stage and this made the audience more engaged to the play also this special effect made children believe that it is possible to fly as children are young and interested by things which are imaginary and very dreamy.Another special effect which was very interesting and cleaver was when different animals where on stage with a different movements, different behaviours and different sizes. This made the play more believable as everything was done in a different way of expressing the character’s feelings and emotions. One special effect which I really loved was the lighting and music. The theme of the play was a musical, the lighting and music had a massive impact on the audience because the music was suited to the place which was Africa so there was a lot of African music. The lighting came on at different times in different scenes so that the play was continually being built to make the audience think about what was going to happen next. What typical conventions are featured in it?One of the typical conventions is when the lion cup runs away thinking that he’s kingdom to will not accept him because he murdered his father. This is an interesting typical convention as people in life tend to run away from their mistakes not knowing who they will hurt or bring disappointment to or even get themselves into more trouble.Another convention of The Lion King is when the baby cup who has grown up into a fully developed lion finds out the truth about the fact that his own uncle planned his father’s death so that he can become king. The lion decided to go back and brings justice. This is an example of a typical convention as people in real life would want justice if something sad had happened also its is typically proves that the truth finally comes out in the end on way or another.<br />
