The Fallen Magdalen Concept.
Fair Isabel, Poor Simple Isabel.
Until sweet Isabella’s untouch’d cheek.
To make old prose in modern rhyme more sweet:
But Selfishness, Love’s cousin, held not long.
In the mid days of autumn.
With every morn their love grew tenderer.
And so she ever fed it with thin tears.
No heart was there in Florence.

Aspiration to the
Perfect
The collection is a joining of past and
future fashion, that uses the meaning
within Pre-Raphaelite art to aspire to
create a perfect symbol of femininity.
The Fallen Magdalen
concept and design.
The past is a rich heritage of resource
and inspiration for the designer.
Isabella is Pre-Raphaelite image that
represents the natural world, the
feminist ideal in flowing lines and rich
colours.
In this collection the design (the
painitng) has been updated to appeal
to a modern audience. The purpose
of the design is to convey the idea
of purity of the feminine beauty as a
fantasy element and then grounded it
in the modern world.
