To be able to make an oral presentation with correct grammar and vocabulary.

To write an essay about “The best film of their childhood” using the grammar of the unit.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
FINAL TASK OF THE UNIT
In groups of 5, students must choose a film
They must to search some information about it (duration, director,
famous actor/actress, argument of the film, awards, etc)
They have to make a Power Point about it using some photos and
putting the searched information in it.
Then, they have to change the end of the film making a dialogue and a
short representation.
Present all the work (ppt and representation) in front of the class.
Later, all the presentations will be voted and evaluated by the
classmates.
There will be a WINNING GROUP

This activity is in the session 7.
There are 25 students in the classroom.
So, 5 groups of 5 students
10 minutes per presentation
TOTAL: 50 minutes
In the last 5 minutes, students say the winning group.
At the end of the class, students give me all the presentations, dialogues,
group-assesment and self-assessment and I correct them.
This work will help the final grade.
In addition, the winning group will have an extra point.

ARGUMENT OF THE FILM:
The film is about the ship Titanic which are going from Southampton,
England to New York, USA.
It was the biggest ship of that time and because of that people thought
it was unsinkable.
On board the ship there are a young man called Jack Dawson and a young
woman called Rose DeWitt Bukater. He travelled in third class and she in
first. The same day the get to know eachother the ship hits an iceberg.
Titanic is now slowly sinking.
People panic and the crew close the gates to third class because there
aren't enough lifeboats. Jack and Rose stay together and decide to both
survive, but finally Jack died.

ALTERNATIVE ENDING
Jack survived the shipwreck but Rose did not know. He was saved by another
ship, which took him to land. Then, he looked for Rose, who was very sad
because she though he had died. When he find her, she was very surprised and
she could not wait to give him a big hug. Finally, he proposed marriage to her and
she accepted. They all lived happily ever after.
