Editor's Notes
Student Body: 425 students (approximately 130 per grade) Grades: 10, 11, 12 Notes: We’ve recently moved to a new building during the fall of 2011.
-Student Council PRESIDENTIAL Elections are held the Spring previous to the year that the candidates will serve. -Candidates must run in PAIRS -Speeches are held -There is a preliminary round if necessary
-Held the second week of school -Candidates run individually -Have one minute to convince their grade to vote for them -Each student chooses their top 4 choices -The 4 candidates with the highest votes are inducted into the council
-Held twice a week for 30 minutes -Used for communication, service learning etc -Each advisory is in charge of one project
-Held every other week in theatre -People can make announcements to the whole school
-A non-school sponsored event -Held 4-5 times a year, usually leading up to a three/four day weekend
-The Student Council helps the community by planning, managing and volunteering in events such as the ones listed above
