2. Since 2007, Patricia Duff has led The Common Good,
a nonprofit organization that advocates for
democratic participation and provides a forum for
the free exchange of ideas. Outside of her work at
The Common Good, Patricia Duff serves on the
board of visitors of the Edmund A. Walsh School of
Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
In addition to offering undergraduate and graduate
degree programs, Georgetown University’s School of
Foreign Service (SFS) maintains a number of centers,
institutes, and special educational activities for
students, professionals, and world leaders.
3. For over 30 years, SFS has held the Georgetown
Leadership Seminar, an invitation-only executive
program that promotes dialogue and cross-
disciplinary cooperation among American
policymakers and other leaders from countries
around the globe.
First held in 1982, more than 800 participants have
taken part in the Seminar, including presidents, prime
ministers, royalty, CEOs, and academics from over
100 countries. The most recent Georgetown
Leadership Seminar took place from October 26-31,
2014, and featured speakers Madeleine K. Albright,
Maura Connelly, and Mark Feierstein, among others.
