1. Project :GUI FOR GPS INTERFACE
ABSTRACT:
The present project was carried out in the LASTEC department of DRDO with a view
to develop a interface for analyzing GPRMC string format generated by GPS. The
Purpose of the project was to create software for testing of GPS interface which will
help in integrating the GPS system with external laser based systems. Different laser
based system’s functional data are to be logged and tested depending upon the time
stamp information extracted from our GPS system.
This software was to be built in C# language.
This GUI have an application which is responsible for:
1. Connecting the GPS hardware system with interface developed.
2. Parsing the GPRMC string.
3. Extracting time string from the valid string data received.
4. Converting the time field from UTC format to Standard format.
5. Displaying the standard time .
6. Should be able to work offline .
