-Make file of all your original certificates like 10th, 12th,
domicile, migration etc.
-Make good number of copies and use original file only when
required.
-Scan all your certificates and mail to yourself so that you can
use these certificates anywhere anytime.

While there’s still a large
amount of hand-holding in
high school, once in college
you will be expected to
exhibit independent and
advanced study skills, such
as analyzing, researching,
note taking, listening, and lab
work, to name a few.

◈ During school you may already need great time
management skills, but remember that your workload will
only grow bigger the more you advance through your
school years.
◈ Learning to create schedules and sticking to them is
crucial. For efficient time management you must learn to
anticipate course needs and plan and study well in
advance to avoid burnouts. Another skill that might
contribute to better time management is speed reading. 6

7. Motivation and Self-discipline
◈ While not academic skills per se, Motivation and self-
discipline are two skills and virtues you must cultivate
during your school years. Being able to find motivation
and practice discipline are vital to your success.
◈ During your college years, where you will be more
independent, being able to objectively assess your
studying behavior will let you stay within schedule and do
well in your exams and coursework.

each other, with supervisors, with people in different
departments, and even with clients. Effective
communication in engineering is critical to ensuring that
all project participants are on the same page.
◈ English is part of syllabus in first year but at TIT, we teach
and train students on communication skills during all four

It is also important that recruiters or hiring managers see that you
are capable and willing to undergo additional technical training
since most companies use different software and systems. Having
strong technical skills will define your ability to identify and solve
problems that arise.
You need to remain updated and informed on special technical skills
required for your branch of Engineering and then master that
technical skills to become highly employable.

10. Personality Awareness
To get through good opportunities one needs a
good personality and deal with people. One has to handle stress in
all situations and hence a good personality helps to remain calm in
all exigencies.
We have many societies in TIT which will help you in personality
development. We suggest and encourage each student to participate

Attendance
It is mandatory to

throughout the degree

Students with backlogs
are not allowed to
appear in exams.

visiting in 7th Semster
and they need all clear
