CHURCH PANTRY
For the month of August, we’re collecting lunch supplies and snacks such as peanut
butter, jelly, honey, crackers, pretzels, popcorn, etc. for the Food Pantry. Items can be
put in the pantry box located next to the Children’s Ministry Counter. Of course,
donations of any kind are always accepted.
YOUTH GROUP CEDAR POINT TRIP
All Jr. & Sr. High youth are invited to a Cedar Point
trip on Saturday, September 16. This is an over-
night trip, coming back on Sunday. The cost is $60
which includes transportation, hotel, park entrance
fee and concert. See Tyler Cook for more

To my Parkside Family: I would just like to say “thank
you” for your continual support throughout my life and
especially now as I start my college career. I would like

PIONEER CLUBS ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION Tomorrow evening, August 28,
from 6:00-6:45 p.m., the leadership of Pioneer Clubs would like to have an open
forum discussion concerning the fall scheduling and curriculum of the clubs. All
parents and leadership staff of Pioneer Clubs are encouraged to attend. Please

WEDNESDAY SUPER SENIORS If you are 55 and older, we welcome you to meet
with other seniors in Parkside’s Fellowship Hall this Wednesday from 10:30-11:30
a.m. as we pray, sing, laugh, learn and build community with each other then have
lunch together. Lunch will be at Turk’s located off Butternut Drive in the Family Fare
plaza this Wednesday.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY The Fall Women’s Bible Study will begin on Thursday,
Sept. 7, and will meet on Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We will be studying
“A Woman of Excellence” by Cynthia Heald. The cost of the book is $8.50. You can

HOW TO STUDY & COMMUNICATE GOD’S WORD WORKSHOP
A four-week workshop on how to study God’s Word and principles of
communicating it will be given on Wednesday evenings through the
month of September ( September 6, 13, 20 & 27). This hands-on
workshop has limited spots so sign up as soon as possible at the
Welcome Center. The workshop will be from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

4. ALL CHURCH PICNIC AT WENDT PARK

Join us for games from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Playground time for the little ones! Supervision will be available for
parents who want to participate in games.
Whiffleball for the kiddos! This will also be supervised and
noncompetitive play.
3 on 3 Basketball. Middle schoolers up to old guys will play a round
robin tournament.
Volleyball for everyone! Wendt Park has a court and all levels are
welcome.
Pickleball is the rage for oldsters but really is fun for everyone. Want to
learn about the game and try it out? Bill and Deb Large will be giving a
short instruction and rotating players in to try it out!
Horseshoes! New this year! Meet at the horseshoe pit.
Sequence for the sophisticated no-sweat group! Sit at a picnic table
and grab a glass of tea and go at it. A fun strategic board game so get
your game face on and enjoy some good company.
