WHAT PANDORA MODELING DOES

Our typical model has never worked in, nor even considered working in, the adult industry before. We

MODEL CRITERIA AT PANDORA
18+. All models must be 18 or older to start working with us. The initial signing
process involves an ID verification step.
You need to have your own equipment to broadcast with: a laptop/computer with a
webcam and high-speed internet (at least 5MBPS upload speed) and a private area to
work from (typically your bedroom). We hire dozens of performers per day from all
over the world and there is simply no practical way for us to arrange equipment for
people who don’t already have it.
We are completely equal-opportunity. As long as you’re 18 or older, we hire models of
all categories. If you have.a question that starts with, “Well do you hire people that are
______.” The answer is yes. All races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, sexual
orientations, gender identities, education levels, political affiliations, taste in music
are welcome at Pandora. We primarily hire models in the US and Canada and the
primary language of the site’s customers and our company is English.
All models must sign up on their own behalf, of their own volition and free will.

ALL MODELS, KEY FACTS
The majority of customers are older men (45-60) from the U.S.A. and Europe, with a
marginal amount of users coming from Asia, Australia, South America, and the Middle
East.
The typical show is a 1 on 1 interactive erotic performance where the customer is
typing and requesting to see a specific sexually explicit performance, often
masturbation. The customer can turn their webcam on during the private show, but
only about 1% do. Customers are shy.
If you think of this as virtual relationship building instead of “live sex cams” you make
a lot more money. Everyone does one-off explicit shows, but the highest revenue is in
building an audience of regular customers that become obsessed with you; this is
what we teach people how to do, it’s fun. The nudity part is less than 10-20% of the
work, even if that’s the main show you do. Everything is mainly talking.
You appear under your stage name only, none of your personal data is ever shared
with customers by us. You sharing your personal information with customers is a
violation of the network’s rules. This is fantasyland, don’t break the fourth wall.

MALE MODELS, KEY FACTS
Yes, we work with male models.
The clientele for male models are almost exclusively gay men.
Most of our male models identify as heterosexual. We track pretty closely to the
overall population data for sexual orientation. The only reason we mention this is
because of the presumptions a lot of people would make about the arrangement (that
the guys performing for other guys would be gay guys). The answer is that it’s both,
but the majority of male models on the site identify as straight, and are comfortable
with whoever wants to pay to watch them, paying to watch them.
For male models, the main categories are physique (muscular, in shape guys), Twink
(small-framed, typically hairless, young-looking guys), guy next door (in average
shape, regular looking guys, that are attractive), and fetish.
The per-hour rates that our male models earn are in line with the rates that female
models earn. The highest-earning male models average $100-150/hr, with the
medium-high being $50-80/hr, and the standard-average being $20-40/hr.
The average age of our male models is 28.

FEMALE MODELS, KEY FACTS
The typical customer for female models is male, American, 40-60, affluent, and
equally likely to be single/never-married, married, or divorced.
Female models experience a high rate of “emotional intimacy” customers. The
customer wanting to have a girlfriend experience with you and build an actual
relationship over many private shows. Guys fall in love with you.
There are no main categories for female models. Every hair color, body type, skin
tone, defining physical feature, etc. has a market. From 18-year-olds that still look
like high-schoolers to 40+ year-old divorcees and everything in between. We can’t
even identify one group as out-performing any other. We routinely see 18-year-olds
battle it out in contests with 28-year-olds and 42-year-olds and it’s a toss-up for who
wins. Everything works.
While the per-hour rates for female models are in line with male models, for the past
several years the highest hourly rates and highest annual earnings have been by
female models. With multiple female models earning over $150/hr and surpassing
$200,000/year.

HOW MAKING MONEY WORKS
Adult video chat is entirely commission-based work. There is no fixed hourly pay of
any kind. Every time a customer spends money, the model makes money. When we
make an estimate of someone’s potential earnings on cam, we’re predicting what we
think, on average, customers will spend per-hour in their room.
The primary way in which money Is earned is through 1 on 1 paid private shows with
customers. For most models, private shows account for 85%+ of their earnings.
Additional money is made through: tips, contest wins, VOD sales, group chat (multiple
viewers at once), FlirtPhone, and FlirtSMS.

THE PAY SCALE
The pay scale is the variable commission rate scale that is used to determine a
model’s commission rate. This is set by the network, we do not have any direct say in
commission rates. We analyze the various pay scales, traffic, and overall site data of
all of the major cam sites, and partner with who we assess to be the best, which is

UNDERSTANDING CREDITS & EARNINGS
The currency of the site is credits. Customers purchase credits and use them for
private shows, tips, and anything else they want to buy on the site. Customers
purchase credits at a rate of 10 credits per $1 USD.
The standard private show rate for a new performer is 60 credits per minute. The
private show rate for top models ranges from 120-200cpm.
The average credits per hour spent on models at Pandora, historically, is 1,760.
At a 35% commission rate, that would equal $62 per hour.
Earning 1,760 credits per hour, over the course of 30 hours in 2 weeks, would result in
52,800 total credits, the 35% rate on the pay scale, $1,848 earned, for a $62/hr average
rate-of-earnings.

UNDERSTANDING NETWORK COSTS
We think it’s helpful for models to understand the big picture of what’s happening with
money on a cam site. Is 27% of the sale way too little? Is 50%? Isn’t the model doing all
of the work? What greedy jerk is taking the rest of the money?
The largest category of spending that networks incur is the costs to acquire traffic to
the site. Every day 600,000+ users visit the site. Sustaining this costs tens of millions
of dollars per year and consumes 30-35% of the total revenue of the site.
Additionally, credit card processing fees for adult companies are astronomical. 10%+
of every sale goes to high-risk merchant account providers. Then around 15-20% goes
to the network to maintain all of this. Flirt4Free, our network, has upwards of 100
employees at their offices in Los Angeles.

YOUR PERFORMER IDENTITY
Everyone uses a false identity, a stage name, on cam. Beyond the name, all other
personal details are obscured. Your location is hidden, your birth day, your
background, you can make it all up.
Your stage name is a real-sounding name, with a first and last name, but that can be
anything you want. You create the persona, the identity, who you want to be while
you’re on cam. You are free to make it exactly how you are in your real life, or you can
be the complete opposite, it’s your choice.
None of your real information will ever appear on the site. We collect your ID to verify
that you are over 18 and because we need to know your real identity for you to be
paid. But it never appears on your profile, at all. We create a 2257 record-keeping
compliance form when you start that has your real name and your stage name, along
with your ID info. This is kept on an encrypted server at the network to comply with
federal regulations.
Additionally, you can block your state from viewing your profile to ensure that no one
arounds you happens to see you on cam.

THE ARRANGEMENT
You would be working from home or whatever location you have that suits you.
You would be working alone, solo, with no one else being allowed to appear on
camera. Shows with other people require a special account be created for the partner
show.
Flirt4Free is the network (think film studio). Pandora Modeling is the management
agency (think entertainment manager). You are the model (think model).
Your cam commission will be paid to you directly from Flirt4Free, they will issue a
1099-MISC form every January reporting your earnings.
Flirt4Free pays Pandora directly, out of their end, for managing models on the site. We
earn the equivalent of 2-3% of the gross sales amount generated by all of our
performers. This never affects the rate models earn.

WHY FLIRT4FREE
Flirt4Free is the only cam site based in America, owned and operated by Americans,
and thus subject to the well-established legal framework of adult entertainment in the
U.S.
Flirt4Free is owned and operated by VS Media Inc, a California corporation. The
primary shareholder and President of the company is Greg Clayman. Their
headquarters are just outside of L.A. in Calabasas, CA.
Those details are important to us and our models. We don’t want to do business with
anyone we can’t shake hands with or sue. The owners of most cam sites are
completely obscure, operated by shell corporations based in tiny European tax
havens, managed solely by email. We don’t like that. We like Flirt4Free.

-An ID-style headshot to face match with the ID, this will not be on your profile.

2. With this information, we’ll start the initial setup of your account, and then send
you your 2257 form to e-sign via email. When we receive the signed copy back,
we finalize your account, and send it to the network for verification.
3. This entire process usually takes 1-2 hours, after which your account is active,
and you can begin logging in immediately.
