6. Denting-In or Reed Plan
• The reed plan indicates the arrangement of the warp ends in
the reed dents.
• Draw more than one warp end in a reed dent
• Normally 2 ends/dent for the body of the fabric and 4
ends/dent at the selvage
7. Tying-in
• The tail end of the warp from the exhausted warp beam is tied
to the beginning of the new warp.
• Two types of machine are used:
• Stationary machines.
• Probable machines.
