2. Edvard Munch was a Norweian painter. He was born on 12th
December 1863 in Loten.
His father was a militar doctor: Dr Christian Munch, and his mother was Laura Cathrine.
Edvard's mother died of tuberculosis in 1868, as did Munch´s favourite sister Johanne
Sophie in 1877. After their mother´s death , the Munch siblings were raised by their father
and by their aunt Karen.
