2. Frida Kahlo life
Frida Kahlo was born in Coyoacán (Mexico) in July 1.907.
She was an artist and she had a very sad live, because when she
was little (five years old) she was ill. When she was 18 years old
she had a bus accident and she couldn´t move, so she began
painting.
3. FRIDA KAHLO’S FAMILY
Kahlo's father, Guillermo Kahlo, was born in 1871, in Pforzheim, Germany.
Kahlo's mother, Matilde Calderón y González, was a mixed Amerindian and Spanish
ancestry.
Her parents were married soon after the death of Guillermo's first wife, which occurred
during the birth of her second child. Although their marriage was quite unhappy,
Guillermo and Matilde had four daughters; Kahlo was the third. She had two older half
sisters who were raised in the same household. She remarked that she grew up in a
world surrounded by females. However, during most of her life, she remained on
amicable terms with her father.
4. Frida Kahlo's Bus accident
On 17 September, 1925 Kahlo was travelling by bus that collided with a
trolley car.
She suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident, including a broken
spinal column, a broken collarbone,broken ribs, a broken pelvis, eleven
fractures in his right leg... Also, an iron handrail pierced her abdomen and
her uterus, compromising her reproductive capacity.
