Botero was born in 1932 in Medellin, Colombia. He received his primary education at Antioquia Ateneo and continued his secondary education. Later, Botero married Gloria Zea, who became a Minister in the Colombian Government. His paintings are known for depicting overweight figures, such as a round-faced little girl in La Monalisa, a blond-haired princess in a red and white dress, and a woman in a red and silver dress holding a flower.

2. HIS LIFE
He was born in Medellin (Colombia).
on 19th April, 1932.
He was the second of the three sons of
David Botero. He recived his primary
education in the Antioquia Ateneo. He
continued his secondary education.
Botero married Gloria Zea who became a
Minister of the Colombian Government.
