Vincent van Gogh was born in 1853 in Zundert, Holland. He was a post-impressionist painter who died at only 37 years old, very poor, but his paintings became famous after his death. Some of his most notable paintings included The Sunflowers, which depicts twelve sunflowers in a vase in yellow and blue colors, The Starry Night which features a night sky full of stars over a village and tree in mainly blue tones, and A Poplar in Autumn that shows many trees in various shades of brown.
