2. Instructions (Part 1)
Take the role of a quality assurance manager for a
pharmaceutical company. Think about the following scenario.
The amount of data in the pharmaceutical sector increases
every day. Think about COVID-19 and new compliance
requirements that have impacted the collection of data on
vaccines. At this pace, this data is estimated to increase 1000
percent by the end of the next year.
As a manager or executive, it is important to review the
analysis of this data to avoid the risk of not properly calibrating
or configuring devices that would result in discarding entire
batches worth millions of dollars and unethical behavior that
could also result in illegal activities such as.
• Misconfigured or mis-calibrated devices for product
manufacturing
• Wrong metrics for quality testing and assurance that will
result in batches not passing quality tests or batches being
certified when they should not have.
• Lack of due care in the review and QA process
3. Instructions (Part 2)
Your task is to identify strategies to collect Covid-19
associated data. For example, how many people have
gotten vaccinated for first and second shots, age ranges,
how many people are resisting getting vaccinated.
Instructions:
Submit a 4-5 slide presentation that you would use to
explain what you would do with the data to help
executives make decisions or change processes. Your
presentation should include the following:
•Compare new cases before the vaccination process in
your home country from when they started with the
reported cases now that vaccinations are ongoing
•Your suggestions to improve the presentation of data or
quality of data used
**Feel free to add more slides if needed.

or experienced COVID-19 symptoms without seeking medical attention.
• Utilize a chart or graph to track the trend of new cases before and after the
administration of the first vaccine dose, thereby monitoring the effectiveness
of vaccination.
• Gather data on vaccine-related complications.
