5. 2. Where is it located: Trakai Island Castle is located in Trakai, Lithuania on an island on the shores of Lake Galv? The castle is sometimes referred to as "Little Marienburg".
6. 3. When was it built: The construction of the stone castle was begun in the 14th century by Kestutis. he was monarch of medieval Lithuania. He ruled the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, 1381–82, with his brother Algirdas (until 1377).
