3. Shelters
–The shelters protected
people from bombing. But if
a bomb hit the shelter exit
they could get blocked.
They would all have been
stuck down there. They did
not have much food to eat
so they had to share it.
4. Blackouts
• When they dropped the bombs on the
town they had to turn of any lights for
safety. If they turned on even one single
light wardens could take them to prison.
They did this so that when the Germans
were dropping bombs they did not know
where they were dropping them.
