5. QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER
•
Questions to consider:
1. how does the trailer begin and end? Was it effectively edited? All three trailer tend
to follow TODROV’S theory, whereby it starts to show how everything calm at first
and explain the situation and then leads to the climax and reveals little of the
resolution. Likewise, all three of the trailer have been effectively edited because at
the beginning it tend to include a slow edit of all the shots showing clearly the
location and the characters and near the end they tend to use a series of quick shots
that work effectively to scare the audience and reveal little of what’s to come,
making the audience curious and tense.

• 5. do trailers always tell you everything you need to know about the film? (if not, where can you
get more information?)
Trailers tend to give a person the basic background of what the movie is going to be about and this
makes the audience aware of the film, it doesn’t reveal everything as its meant to leave the audience
curious about what they are about to watch and this then helps to spark an interest in those who
prefer that type of film and hopes to guarantees success of the film
