1. Task 1 - Applications of 3D
The first ever 3D game made was called monster maze. Made in 1981 by Malcolm Evans you were made to
wonder through the maze that is randomly generated if you took a step and did not see the monster
that is chasing you, you would get a point for doing so.
There was also a game called “I Robot” it was an arcade game designed by Dave Theurer in 1984I,
Robot, a multi-directional shooter that has the player assume the role of "Unhappy Interface Robot
#1984", a servant bot that rebels against Big Brother.
2. 12 years later the Nintendo 64 came out most of its games were 3D these games include Mario, star fox, Zelda
and many more. There was also another called the PlayStation this had 3D games such as crash bandicoot,
Spyro, spider man series on it witch were fully 3D.
Then after these consoles the PlayStation 2, game cube and the Xbox were realest but all at different times
with better 3D graphics. Then when it hit the 7
th
generation of consoles 3D became truly amazing form games
like CoD, Assassins creed, Battlefield and many more games.
3D is used in animation to a god example of this is Pixar they use 3D most of the time in their films. Everything
is 3D form the characters to the background and in my opinion they have mastered 3D animation as they are
amazing at what they do.
3. Although 3D is used a lot in games and 3D animated films there are many other uses for it such as hospitals 3D
s used to examine broken human parts so it is easier to see the damage and where the broken bone is.
3D is also used to print using a 3D printer for people to make there designs in real life instead of
being a 3D model on a screen.
