Why TOD? • In Indian cities, Development Authorities and Municipal bodies co-exist but cater to different spectrum of development needs. • Yet, sadly they live in separate verticals. • The Transport Authorities are other cogs in the city wheel, which tread on separate journeys and twain don’t meet. • “Transit Oriented Development” is a development instrument to bring all players on one drawing board. • Rules of the game are simple i.e. have well connected, accessible, high-density, anti-sprawl mixed land use development which is affordable & inclusive. • Working relationship is to collaborate & integrate under “12 Golden Principals”.

Why TOD? • In Indian cities, Development Authorities and Municipal bodies co-exist but cater to different spectrum of development needs. • Yet, sadly they live in separate verticals. • The Transport Authorities are other cogs in the city wheel, which tread on separate journeys and twain don’t meet. • “Transit Oriented Development” is a development instrument to bring all players on one drawing board. • Rules of the game are simple i.e. have well connected, accessible, high-density, anti-sprawl mixed land use development which is affordable & inclusive. • Working relationship is to collaborate & integrate under “12 Golden Principals”.
