3. Joshua Socias Molina as HOSH
Joshua’s family
Joshua’s dad is Jose Maria Socias,
a musician who plays the drums
and was born in Barcelona.
His mum is Natacha Molina who
was born in Tangiers, Morrocco.
She worked in a little shop called
“Aromas”, but now she is retired.
Joshua has got an older sister
called Melanie.
All his family live in Ibiza.
Joshua’s childhood
Josh belongs to the 80’s generation
where the children played in the
streets with freedom and where the
children interacted and shared
games with other kids. They learned
from eachother.
During that time he had lots of
different experiences in his
neighborhood, some of them marked
his artistic life:
“Breakdance, skateboard and
graffiti”.
4. THE INFLUENCE OF THE BREAKDANCE
Hosh was ten when he
became fascinated by
the older children of his
neighborhood who wore
cool laces in their
trainers and also danced
in an amazing way.

He really liked the music of
that moment which he used
to watch on a TV programme
called “TOCATA”.
One day he bought his 1st
cassette tape of a famous
film called “Breakdance”, and
after school when the
classes finished he and his
friends practised the
movements that they had
seen in the film and the older
children at his school doing.
7. THE INFLUENCE OF SKATEBOARD
Hosh soon discovered the
skateboarding world and left
behind the breakdancing for
a little while.
He watched videos with his
friends and after seeing them
he tried to copy and practise
some of the movements with
his skateboard.
It was fascinating for him.
• During that time the music
that the skaters followed was:
Beach Boys, Bad Religion,
Beastie boys and Public
Enemy.
8. The day that changed his life
In 1994 Hosh with three of
his friends formed the first
graffiti group in Ibiza.
They got information
about graffiti art in the big
cities thanks to a magazine
called “Fancines” .
This was how they learned
: reading articles and
magazines.
One night in 1991 Hosh saw
a documentary on TVE1
called “ Pintadas “ about : el
Muelle a graffitti writer
pioneer in Spain.
The impact which it had on
him was so great that after
watching the program he
went to a shop and bought
his first can of spraypaint to
write like el “Muelle” his
name on walls.
It was his 1st contact with
the graffiti.
9. Hosh’s academic training
• Hosh studied in Santa
Maria High School
(Ibiza) secondary
education after that
He moved to Madrid
to continue his studies
at Art school .These
were his first steps
before going to
University.
• In Madrid he
continued painting
and taking part the
world of Graffiti , Hip
Hop and Breakdance.
• His next step in his
personal training was
to go to Barcelona to
study at the
University and where
he lived for 15 years.
10. His life in Barcelona
• In Barcelona Hosh
studied Bellas Artes. At
that time the culture of
Hip Hop and graffiti
was booming in the city
and Hosh met lots of
graffiti writers and
some of them
Breakdanced and so
they inspired him.
• He painted trains,
underground, legal
walls and illegal
ones.
11. BACK TO HIS HOMETOWN
Nowadays Hosh lives in
Ibiza with his wife and his
little girl.
He has become an
legitimate artist. He is a
Graffiti writer and also he
does art exhibitions as we

He is also a Capoeira
monitor and teaches in
schools and gyms.
Hosh has became one of
the most outstanding
Graffiti Writers in Ibiza
after working very hard
in his personal training.

13. Making contributions to urban
spaces
Graffiti is the
engine that drives
him to travel to
different countries
(New York , Brazil,
Germany , Sweden,
France , Belgium,
etc . ) For taking
part exhibitions in
various urban
spaces.
14. ARTISTICALLY
Josh 's work is
characterized:
He has
exhibited his
art works:
• Simple visual
graffiti language.
• The contrast and
the colour of his
characters and
letters.
In different cities such
as : Ibiza, Barcelona,
Madrid London etc.
He brings a smile and
a moment of
reflection when
people look at his
graffiti.
