This document discusses signs and tests used to diagnose pregnancy in the second and third trimesters. In the second trimester, signs include chloasma and breast changes. Abdominal exams check for fetal heartbeat, uterine and funic souffles through auscultation, and internal ballottement through vaginal exams. Sonography is also used. In the third trimester, fundal height is measured to assess gestational age, with landmarks at the umbilicus, ensiform cartilage, and coming back down at 40 weeks.
