2. Our Mission:
To REDEFINE the way women create
positive body image in our culture by
empowering ourselves to then empower
others for a healthier and happier world
of women. We create a community that
educates and supports a stronger, more
resilient, and proud world of women.
3.
4. Recall a person, place or event that has had
a negative impact on your body image?
And positive?
5. What is body image?
Body
image
is
the
way
that
someone
perceives
their
body
and
assumes
that
others
perceive
them.
This
image
is
often
affected
by
family,
friends,
social
pressure
and
the
media.
6. Approximately 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies
and resort to dieting to achieve their ideal body shape.
Unfortunately, only 5% of women naturally possess the body
type often portrayed by Americans in the media.
