INTRODUCTION
YES YEM YECH (SMH) Industrial Services Co. Ltd. was established on its own recently in year 2009 with an
Objective of Providing Quality Industrial Services Safely to Our Clients. Never the less, we were into the business
about 4 years ago under the name of Nasser E. Al-Gahtani Cont. Est.
SMH delivers safe, high quality projects on time, in the most cost effective manner. SMH specializes in plant
related technical support and services such as high skilled Technical Support, Equipment Rental, Vehicle Rental,
Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting, PWHT, Control valves services, in addition to other related services for the oil &
gas, petrochemical, power and desalination and other industrial sectors.
Although the SMH is young to the market with 5 years of experience, nonetheless it has seen good success and
proud to be part of the business community with good number of contracts in its fold with a permanent workforce
of almost 200 personnel.
Currently, SMH is specializing in Operation, Maintenance, Industrial Construction and Support Services,
outsourcing of specialized technical personnel to Saudi Chevron, SABIC, SIPCHEM, LINARCO, BECHTEL, SNC
LAVLIN and various other international companies working as PMTs in Petrochemical/ Fertilizer / Metal
expansion projects. We are also actively involved in current infrastructural development as well expansion of
Jubail Industrial City II.
Particularly the company feels proud to be associated either directly or indirectly with Saudi Chevron, SABIC,
JGC and the other major industrial giants of Saudi Arabia .
The company and its Management always wish to be a good corporate citizen by encouraging local Saudi work
force wherever possible, impart good training on regular intervals and improve the skills of its work force on a

Safety Policy
It is the objective of SMH to ensure the health and safety of their employees and other who may be affected by
company’s operations and the avoidance of any adverse impact on the environment.
Our safety and loss prevention program has been outlined to assure compliance with government, client’s safety
job work rules procedures and health standards as to ensure that SMH Management, employee are committed in
achieving “zero” accidents thereby eliminate attendant losses and promoting a safer working environment in our
area of operations.
The aim is to prevent incidents and other disturbances in every task and operation which may result in personal
injury, property damage or detriment to the environment. Such preventive action need continuous improvement
and a priority equal to the activities for production and quality assurance.
SMH is committed to ensure these all safety rules are understood by all our employees and implemented to
ensure a safe working environment.
SMH shall designate one qualified employee as a Safety Representative to be the focal point of safety related
matters. His responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
• Ensure safe work practices at site.
• Conduct internal Safety audits on SHM employee’s Safety awareness and compliance with S.H.E.
policy.
• Produce and keep all Safety Reports as: Training List, Training Requirements, Injuries, illness
statistics, Audit / Non – conformance records.
• Ensure that Job related tools and equipment are maintained according to the Safety requirements.

Safety Awareness
1. Introduction:
SMH employees compliance with Safety, Health & Environment Policy is our priority during the execution
of plant work. The objective is to ensure a “zero” incidents, “zero” accidents policy.
The S.H.E. program is implemented by our site staff under the overall supervision of our Safety
Representative.
2. Assignment of Safety Responsibility:
Persons responsible for safety, whose involvement and active participation in all safety activities include
SMH management, Safety Representative, supervisors and all SMH employees.
2.1 Safety Representative:
Administers and implements the Safety, Health and Environment Policy.
Ensures that all levels of supervision receive adequate safety training and have the appropriate
qualifications
Co-ordinates with representatives of the Clients’ S.H.E section and Industrial Security Department to
make sure the effective reporting of any accident, incident in accordance with the clients requirements.
Implementation of Safety Policy and Standards.
3. Accident Reports, Investigation and Analysis:
Safety Representative shall initially assess the nature of accident and report to the Clients’ S.H.E section
and Industrial Security Department.
We implement accident / incident reporting procedures prescribed by safety policy. An immediate report
will be made by us of all industrial accidents and incidents involving fatal injuries, injuries requiring medical
attention, injuries with lost man-hours, damage to plants, facilities, equipments and all fires. The report is
submitted to Loss Prevention Division within 24 hours.

4.1 Pre-job and startup Meetings:
Before the start of work, along with the details of the job, all the employees are made aware of the safety
requirements and advised to strictly comply with these requirements.
4.2 Safety Toolbox Talks
Series of safety talks designed around safety issues on the jobsite are conducted periodically on mornings
before work starts, the goal is to heighten awareness of safety subjects and get workers to think and talk
about them.

f. Persons working with jackhammer and other high vibrating sounding equipment must wear
ear protection and must keep away from flying debris.
g. Personal working at heights must use adequate harness & safety belts.
6. Handling of Issued Work Permits:
The receiver of a work permit shall keep a copy in his possession or within view at the job site for the
duration of the job so it may be presented for safety inspection or cancellation. He shall remain at the job
site throughout the duration of the permit. If he must leave the job site, with the concurrence of the
authorized issuer, he may give the permit to another crewmember who is also an authorized receiver. The
permit must be kept at the job site until his return.
Work permits are closed out by the signature of both the authorized issuer and authorized receiver after
work has been completed. This shall be done at the work site as soon as possible after the completion of
the job but not later than the next working day. It will be filed and kept by the operations supervisors.
