The Congressional Budget Office estimates that Trumpcare will result in 14 million fewer Americans with health insurance by 2018 and 24 million fewer by 2026. The CBO also projects that Trumpcare will reduce government deficits by $337 billion over 10 years by eliminating the individual mandate and replacing subsidies with less generous tax credits, while Republicans argue this will be offset by fewer people needing insurance. The bill aims to still protect those with pre-existing conditions.
