Sebrio has been involved with InterSystems’ HealthShare solution from its inception. When Trevor
Matz, an ex-senior executive from InterSystems, was preparing to launch their next “big thing”, he had
a need, which was to build an innovative and efficient front-end to InterSystems’ next market-leading
software solution. He invited Sebrio to engage, and soon thereafter the first front-end of HealthShare
was deployed.

InterSystems Caché is an advanced database
management system and rapid application
development environment. It was selected by the
European Space Agency as the database of choice in
the mapping of the Milky Way.

Multiple Integration
Projects
Integration requires a thorough understanding of each system. The Sebrio team has extensive knowledge of
varied systems and we continue to educate ourselves in each new project. Our ability to grasp the operating
procedures in varied environments, and craft robust interfaces, ensures our systems integration projects run
efficiently and we achieve the desired outcomes for our clients and partners.
CBC
In collaboration with our US partner, J2 Interactive,
we integrated a standard C32 interface with a
PIXV3 patient registration interface from Netsmart
Avatar for Coordinated Behavioral Care (CBC).
We also created a NwHIN-compliant HIEM web
service to capture patient enrolment statuses
and care team members’ credentials. In addition,
we completed an LDAP implementation for BHIX
Connect, using the local Active Directory user
accounts.
RIQI
Sebrio worked with J2 Interactive and InterSystems
Corporation for Rhode Island Quality Institute
(RIQI) on HL7 ADT Interface tasks, which was to
integrate SureScripts into their HealthShare IHE.
Sebrio was also required to provide resources
to more fully integrate HealthShare with a
Quadramed SmartIX Message Passing Interface.
3M
Sebrio assisted J2 Interactive with an integration project for 3M. Building an interface between existing integrations
and an additional 3M system, the Sebrio team had to learn and optimize the existing integration and systems in
order to achieve an efficient and complete overall integration. Technologies used were Ensemble, JSON and HL7.
UVaMC
In collaboration with our US partner, Ready Computing, we
developed a number of Ensemble interfaces to handle HL7
messages, HL7 batches and flat files for the University of
Virginia Medical Centre. The methods used to receive the
messages include reading files from the file system and using
TCP/IP connections. The HL7 messages were transformed to
the HL7 format that the rest of the system expected.

Building a Health Information Exchange in a partnership of IT professionals
Project Focus:
Parameds.com
When Parameds.com identified their need to develop a Health Information Exchange (HIE), they issued a tender for
a developer with appropriate experience. Ready Computing, with the backing of Sebrio Consulting, put together an
extensive Proof of Concept (POC) with profiles of the team that would work on phase one of the project. The tender
was accepted based on the strength of the two companies and the World Medical Bank (WMB) was born.
With our passion for front-end design and intuitive interfaces, the team at Sebrio has developed most of the
interfaces for the WMB project.
About the project
This extensive HIE gathers data from service providers, hospitals, clinics, laboratories and other HIEs
through electronic record retrieval. There are an increasing number of integrations on the project as
additional data sources are added into the Bank. Phase two of the project involves the conversion of many
manual data processes to automated functions, which will allow the Bank to grow at a more rapid rate.
The client’s goal
Parameds.com’s goal with the World Medical Bank is to establish a market-leading collation of patient
medical records. The applications are varied for insurers and service providers: from better patient care to
more accurate insurance forecasting and reducing risk within hospitals.
This innovative HIE is made possible through InterSystems HealthShare.

A case study of “big data” in the transportation industry
Project Focus:
AssureNet
ClearView is the software platform that AssureNet offers to their
clients. Through our partnership with Ready Computing, Sebrio
has built the majority of the data management infrastructure
which drives ClearView. With an engaging interface and secure
messaging, AssureNet’s clients can efficiently manage the
various aspects of their transportation or insurance businesses.
With ClearView, companies and their agents can gather just
that: a clear view of their fleet, their current risk and their
continued compliance with the law in a highly regulated
industry.
ClearView also opens additional doors for
customer service to taxi operators. An ‘E-hailing’
solution for the hailing of cabs and an innovative
application which incorporate gamification,
will ensure more effective use of the available
resources and further increase revenues.
We are privileged to be engaged in an industry-
leading application of Big Data collection,
storage and implementation.
As a taxi drives down the streets of New York City, no less than six cameras are recording every move.
Accelerometers, GPS signals, and even Wi-Fi connections are tracking every change in the vehicle’s route.
These vehicles, along with delivery vans, limousines and trucks throughout New York City, are part of an innovative
cost-saving program which AssureNet developed. The data retrieved from the cabs assists the legal departments
within their holding companies to ensure the stringent regulations which surround them are followed. Insurers can
respond to an accident claim within minutes and the taxi driver can ensure he’s back on the road after an incident in
a market-leading timeframe.
The next time you take a cab in New York City, be on the lookout for the tiny cameras which, together with
ClearView, are ensuring you get to your destination safely.
With an engaging interface and secure messaging, AssureNet’s clients can effectively manage the various
aspects of their transportation or insurance businesses.

Improving patient care through Health Information Systems integration
Project Focus:
ICNet
ICNet is an innovative Health IT company with multiple international offices. Through intuitive user
interfaces and extensive systems integration, ICNet allows clients to collect, store and manage data and
enables them to use that data in creative ways.
Enabling round-the-clock surveillance of antimicrobial medications and infection risks, their software
provides data to clinicians in near real-time and enables them to respond quickly to changes in a patient’s
condition.
Sebrio’s development and project management team learn the inner workings of each hospital environment and
the methodologies applied. This enables the accurate integration of the data into ICNet’s Health Information System
(HIS). Sebrio’s developers have the mandate to expand the ICNet HIS to develop additional functionality in order to
ensure the continued growth, total relevance and expanded service offering of ICNet to their clients.
ICNet was recently acquired by Baxter International Incorporated;
a clear vote of confidence in the innovation and continued
success of the company.

Project Focus:
Ampath
The brief
With over 4500 staff-members and a reputation
for innovation and professionalism, Ampath’s IT
systems are at the forefront of achieving their
business goals. They chose Sebrio Consulting to
supply on-going support and assistance for their
software environment. A ticket system ensures
we’re able to respond quickly and effectively
to each required task to make sure Ampath
remains a leader in their industry.
The solution
With Ampath, Sebrio has developed and
continues to support an end-to-end pathology
data management system. Data is stored in a
relational Caché database. Their internal data
retrieval system (RSI) has a hierarchical structure
that allows various user levels, data access,
and editing abilities. Ampath can load new
pathologists and clients into the system, and
set up user options when needed, through an
intuitive interface. Sebrio has worked extensively
in the design and development of RSX, an
external data retrieval system. Through ongoing
user interface development as the program
expands and additional client systems come
on board, Ampath’s clients can order pathology
tests, view results in real time, receive alerts,
manage patient data, and request detailed
patient reports.
The innovative technologies used
RSX is built in Adobe Flex and VB .NET, enabling
user-friendly and intuitive interfaces for data
input and extraction. Integration is achieved
through the highly efficient InterSystems
Ensemble solution.

Health System Technologies (HST)
Sebrio is proud to be a key provider to HST, and is responsible for much of the interface design and development.
Health System Technologies (HST) is a leading provider of ICT solutions for healthcare organizations and
is ranked among the top health ICT systems services providers in South Africa. Working with the National
Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) in South Africa, using InterSystems’ TrakCare Lab, HST is busy with the
largest known Lab Information System (LIS) implementation in the world.

Information System.

implementation. VB6 and InterSystems’ Caché Object
Script (COS), enable rapid and effective development.

of its kind in the world, incorporating 322 laboratories
and the integration of the system with all elements
within each lab.

As the first module in the MOBE business
management suite, MOBE Timesheet is a time
management solution that enables time-driven
companies and individuals to record, track, and
manage their working hours effectively.
The MOBE Timesheet system empowers both
managers and employees, with features such as:
• web-based access
• fast and accurate time entry
• role-based security
• practical enquiries
• powerful reporting
• flexitime tracking and management
• timesheet approval and rejection
MOBE was born out of the need for an easy, yet effective time management system that provides accurate
time tracking and reporting. It can be relied upon to protect your most valuable asset: TIME.
MOBE 2 will be created in HTML5 in order to meet today’s requirements of device-friendly applications and
will include additional functionality and modules to ensure it is the product of choice in its field.

tasks against projects, ensuring accurate time
capturing and producing efficient reports.

A modern responsive website with a focus on user experience
Project Focus:
C&M OrthoSports (CMOS)
C&M OrthoSports is a private institution committed to educating and training physiotherapists in the latest
skills, practices and available resources. As a New York State accredited education provider with a variety of
courses, they are well respected in their field and passionate about their work.
Understanding the client
C&M OrthoSports’ offering of module-based courses and various time slots creates an intricate web of
selectable options. They also publish an extensive blog which generates a large amount of interest, traffic
and interaction.
The brief
Sebrio was engaged to redesign and develop the new C&M OrthoSports website, incorporating their
existing website and popular blog into a fully responsive, modern and inviting user experience (UX).
Our solution
The design and development was carefully executed in HTML5 and CSS3, with elements of JavaScript
and JQuery, to deliver an engaging and intuitive course registration portal, corporate profile website, and
modern and accessible blog environment.
