Mrs. Natia Arishvili, from Tbilisi / Georgia – Dolidze Street 27 was working from September 2013
until June 2016 for the consulting consortium SW-Sachsenwasser & AHT-Group from Germany in
Tbilisi / Georgia as translator for project documents, expert interviews and workshops for the Asian
Development Bank – ADB - financed project in the water and sanitation sector as “Consultancy
Services for Management Contractor”; being implemented as part of the bilateral agreement, with the
beneficiary and project implementation agency – PIA- being the United Water Supply Company of
Georgia UWSCG – LLC.
The contract was spread over 36 months, providing a 15-team member strong international and local
professional experts, including internal turn-around experts and short-term functional experts for
improving the operating efficiency of UWSCG. The most critical areas of the UWSCG with more
than 2.800 staff members and 53 local water supply and waste water service centres for the highly
qualified and experienced water utility management experts were among others:
a) Water utility operations, rehabilitation and asset management
b) Institutional Development
c) Improving operating efficiency – ratio of annual operating expenditure to annual operating income
d) Increasing productivity of UWSCG human resources – ratio of annual operating revenues to the
annual cost of UWSCG human resources
The scope of key services who shall assist UWSCG in improving the performance in the following
key areas were :
a) Water production, transport and distribution operational services
b) Commercial services including billing, income collection
c) Customer services including recording and resolving customer complaints
d) Institutional re-engineering, change management, internal accountability mechanisms and
organizational effectiveness
e) Financial management, accounts, revenue and expenditure management
f) Information management, analysis and control; setting up an Enterprise Resource Planning system
g) Human resources management, instituting rewards, incentives and performance appraisal systems
We thank Mrs. Arishvili for here translator contribution to our very complex project by handling all
translation activities from project reports, project deliverables and all different kind of relevant bi-
lingual meetings and training events with internal and external project related topics. We wish her for
her professional future all the best.
