• Some people had difficulties using Skype
• Some days were difficult in arranging a specific time to talk
• Can’t work on the same file at the same time
• Sometimes talk over each other – can’t see each other so don’t know when
people may talk
Facebook
Merits
• Daily interaction
• Easy-to-use
• Continuous
• Forum for the group to share information – keep updated, regular basis
• Sharing links
• Keep track and arrange meeting times
• Use polls – making decisions, seeing what everyone’s availabilities were
Limitations
• Trouble uploading files
• Sometimes it didn’t notify of any changes to the group page
• People didn’t reply so slowed down progress
Google Docs
Merits
• Good to share documents between group members
• Secure
• Can see who last modified, and version history
• Who uploaded documents
• Everyone can edit
• Easy-to-use
Limitations
• Hard to give access to people have never used it
• If people didn’t check emails regularly, delayed response to updated files
