DEVSTACK INSTALALTION WITH NEUTRON

Technology

INSTALL OPENSTACK LATEST CODE WITH DEVSTACK:

1. Download DevStack
git clone https://git.openstack.org/openstackdev/devstack
2. Add Stack User
devstack/tools/createstackuser.sh; su stack
3. Give stack user permission to devstack folder
chown R stack:stack <path to devstack folder>
4. Start the install.
cd devstack; ./stack.sh
Note: Above will install Latest Openstack code with novanetwork
5. Do not execute step 4. To have Openstack deployed with neutron, create local.conf
file with below contents.
[[local|localrc]]
HOST_IP=172.18.161.6
SERVICE_HOST=172.18.161.6
MYSQL_HOST=172.18.161.6
RABBIT_HOST=172.18.161.6
GLANCE_HOSTPORT=172.18.161.6:9292
ADMIN_PASSWORD=secret
DATABASE_PASSWORD=secret
RABBIT_PASSWORD=secret
SERVICE_PASSWORD=secret
# Do not use NovaNetwork
disable_service nnet
# Enable Neutron
ENABLED_SERVICES+=,qsvc,qdhcp,qmeta,qagt,ql3
## Neutron options
Q_USE_SECGROUP=True
FLOATING_RANGE="172.18.161.0/24"
FIXED_RANGE="10.0.0.0/24"
Q_FLOATING_ALLOCATION_POOL=start=172.18.161.250,end=172.18.161.254

6. Execute step 4 to install openstack latest release.
