As from 5th December 2012 we will have
several Driver / Care Assistant Posts Vacant
across the city, with a starting Salary of
£14,466. - £17,802.
Working 36.5 hours per week. We are looking for enthusiastic,
motivated and flexible people for these posts.
Supporting adults who have both learning and/or physical
disability that use our day centres, you will be required to drive
council minibuses around Birmingham and its local communities
and to support individual with their personnel care requirements.
You will need to demonstrate effective communication skills, be
sensitive when attending to the physical and social needs of
service users particularly when supporting with their personnel
care needs and enablement programmes.
You should also have a commitment to equal opportunities and
experience of driving larger vehicles. A D1 category on your
licence would be an advantage, however if not you will be required
to successfully complete the D1 and MIDAS training.
