2. You want to be as specific as possible.
This will help your brain sees clearly on what
you want to accomplish, so it can search for
it quicker and better.
For example, if your goal is to buy a red car,
and your goal statement says, “I want a red
car,” then it will be difficult for the brain to
find the red car for you because there are
thousands of red cars out there.
Your brain does not know which red car you
want.
3. If you have a more specific goal statement such
as, “I want a red, Toyota, corolla, SE, four
doors, tail, sun roof, with leather chairs,” then
the brain knows exactly what you want and then
it will work harder to make sure you get that
one.
The brain does a good job of getting what you
want, but you have to make it easy and clear for
your brain to see it.
For example, it is like when you are driving
under a foggy weather.
It will take you a longer time and not as
productive to get where you want to go when
you drive under a foggy weather compared to
when the weather is clear.
4. You want to put the exactly day, month,
year, and time when you will accomplish
your goal.
Even though you might not accomplish your
goal on the target date, because life is not
perfect, the brain will work harder and
faster when it sees the specific date and
time compared to when you do not have
them.
In addition, you cannot aim for something if
you do not have something to target at.
5. The brain likes to see pictures and colors; it
makes your brain excited and active.
You can draw your own picture or cut out a
picture that represents your goal.
Or you can do both. It is all up to you.
This is your chance to be creative because it
will be something that you will want to enjoy
looking at it on a daily basis to help reinforce
your brain.
Also, you might want to keep your goal and
picture after you accomplished it to look
back to see how far you have gone.
6. You have to discover your reasons or purposes on
why you want to accomplish your goal.
Nothing can achieve greatly without a steady
purpose.
Everyone can have the same goal, but each of us
will have a different reason for it.
One of the main reasons why many people fail to
accomplish their goals is because their reasons
do not match their own beliefs.
When you have the right reason, you will believe
in yourself more to help you accomplish your
goal quicker.
7. Whenever you set a goal, you want to ask
yourself, “What or how exactly will your life
change if you are able to accomplish your goals?”
For example, if you are happier, how are you
becoming a happier person?
What things are improved in your life that is
making you a happier person?
Most importantly, do you know what happiness
is?
You cannot just say you will become a happier
person because that is not specific enough for
the brain.
