2. Who is he?
Nigel Dick (born 21 March 1953, Catterick, North Yorkshire, England)
is an English music video and film director, writer and musician
based in Los Angeles, California.
3. Early Career
The first Music video he ever directed was in 1983 when he directed
‘I think I’ll get my haircut’ by Jona Lewie. A year later his career
blew up as he got the deal to direct the Band Aid ‘Do they know its
Christmas time?’ charity single that is such a massive video with lots
of stars that it would have been a massive task for a new director to
take on yet he still managed to pull it off an many say this is the
reason that his career took of and he was trusted with so many big
videos.
5. Notable Videos Continued
As you can tell from the previous slide Nigel Dick often works with
iconic bands. He directed 3 of Guns n’ Roses best and most known
songs and also directed 3 of Oasis’s classics. As well as a multitude
of Nickleback Videos over many years and even one of Britney
Spear’s best songs. Because of all this work it has meant he has
directed over 500 music videos and is still doing work as we speak.

Because of the work Nigel Dick has done with a large amount of
artists he is a highly respected director who is in high demand by
iconic bands. Because of all this he has become one of the best
