Earthquakes occur when the tectonic plates that make up the Earth's crust move and release stress. They typically last less than a minute and can be felt over large areas, though scientists are still working on predicting them. The interior of the Earth is composed of three main layers - the inner core, mantle, and outer crust. The focus is where the energy is released within the Earth, and the epicenter is the point directly above the focus on the surface. Earthquakes result from the sliding or colliding of tectonic plates. While earthquakes can cause loss of life and property damage, they also allow the release of thermal energy and formation of new landforms.
2. Earthquakes are the shaking, rolling or
sudden shock of the earth’s surface.
They are the Earth's natural means of
releasing stress.
Earthquakes can be felt over large areas
although they usually last less than one
minute.
Earthquakes cannot be predicted, although
scientists are working on it.
3. Three layers of earth…
The inside of earth is made up of 3 main
layers of earth known as:
1)Core: The innermost part of the earth is
known as core
2)Mantle: The central region of the earth
between the core and crust.
3)Crust: The outermost layer of earth is
called crust.
12. ADVANTAGE OF
EARTHQUAKE
Without earthquake in the world, the size of the energy which is
generated by the magma would increase.
Thermal water resources, mineral resources, water resources, such
as healing waters, actually happens the result of an eartquake.
13. DURING AN EARTHQUAKE:
DROP, COVER AND HOLD ON!
Stay indoors until the shaking stops.
Stay away from windows.
If you’re in bed, hold on and stay there, protecting your
head with a pillow.
If you’re outdoors, find a clear spot away from buildings,
trees and power lines. Then, drop to the ground.
If you’re in a car, slow down and drive to a safe place. Stay
in the car until the shaking stops.
14. Earthquake brings a new life to the world…
Should be noted that every birth is painful and
is the starting point of a new life !!!
