This document describes and provides MRI images of 11 different benign soft-tissue masses: lipoma, ganglion cyst, hemangioma, lymphangioma, neurofibroma, myxoma, desmoid, giant cell tumor of tendon sheath, hematoma, myositis ossificans, and abscess. For each mass, a brief description is given and an MRI image shows the characteristic appearance and location of the mass.

3. Fig B 38-1 Lipoma. Coronal T1-weighted image shows a well-
defined mass of fat signal intensity along the flexor tendons of
the hand.46

image demonstrates a lobulated lesion of the wrist.46
