Background
My name is Danny Farris and I believe I can
make a difference in SlideShare. I am
fresh(ish) out of college and, while I lack the
experience, I believe that I meet the desired
skills as listed on Craigslist. I am a great
communicator. While at Barnes and Noble, I
dealt with customer’s anger when their Nook
did not work properly. I did so with a
clear, calm head and a confident and
respective demeanor. While at Virginia Tech, I
was on the baseball team with a head coach
that stressed attention to
detail, accountability, and communication.
These characteristics were instilled in me and
will help me in my professional life.

Why work at SlideShare?
I would love to (and be proud to) work at SlideShare for a number
of reasons. Firstly, it helps people as well as businesses connect
and spread their information. I have used SlideShare in my
college career to give (and receive) lectures to classmates that
may have missed the class. It is a valuable tool. I also want to
join the SlideShare team because it is exactly that: a team! I have
been a part of a team my entire life and love and thrive in a team
atmosphere. The startup culture is phenomenal. I would love to
contribute to a great team. Also, who wouldn’t want to call
themselves an Evangelist (albeit a Customer Evangelist). I would
also love (I haven’t said “love” enough, right?) to speak with
someone to learn more about this position. I live in San Francisco
and am available at any time. I also have my phone 24/7 so I can
answer emails and phone calls whenever. If any other information
is required, I’d be glad to provide it.
