A presentation by the IES Son Pacs students about the seven regions participating in the Comenius project: Gender Inequalities

3. We come from a small island in Spain called
Mallorca.

autumn and eat with a lot of
other dishes.
Ensaimadas are a typical
cake. They are eaten at
breakfast and they come in
different sizes and some of
them have different fillings.

7. In Mallorca we follow the
Mediterreanean diet. We
have fresh fruit and
vegetables. Our almonds
are very well-known too.

8. Pride of place among Mallorcan food is the
Paella. It is a rice based dish with meat,
vegetables and sea food. We normally eat this
on Sundays with our families.

9. There are many
typical products
which are made
in Mallorca.
Shoes and straw-
based products
are the most
famous ones.

10. The typical Mallorcan
dance is “Ball de
Bot”,
that includes different
styles like boleros,
fandango and jotas.
This picture is a famous paint of one of the best painters in
the island: Coll Bardolet. He was from Valldemossa, one of
the small villages from Serra de Tramuntana.
