• The e-commerce industry, also known as electronic commerce, refers to the buying
and selling of products and services over the internet. It has transformed the way
businesses operate and how consumers shop, providing convenience, accessibility,
and a global marketplace.
• The rise of the e-commerce industry can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, the
widespread adoption of the internet and the increasing connectivity globally have
paved the way for online transactions. With the internet becoming more accessible,
people can now shop from the comfort of their homes or on the go using various
devices such as smartphones, tablets, or computers.
• The e-commerce industry encompasses different types of businesses, including
online marketplaces, retail websites, and online auction platforms. These platforms
provide a wide range of products and services, allowing customers to compare
prices, read reviews, and make informed purchasing decisions
