Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND
The needs of the global market for wood experienced a shortage where the wood needs increasing
sharply and at the same time narrowing process occurring forest area. This fact has opened up a
wide market for anyone investing in timber. Tropical forest area suffered substantial damage.
Logging without balanced with serious regeneration efforts being the main cause of this problem.
ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization) and the Government of the Republic of
Indonesia is currently prohibit all forms of illegal logging, so the demand for wood for production
automatically derived from the cultivation of planting timber, which resulted in the gap in demand
for wood with a production capability of trees.
It is therefore very necessary program of cultivating the wood commercially to produce quality
wood with a higher value. Wood is the hardwood growth jabon very fast, cylindrical and straight,
white-yellowish wood with no visible fibres are excellent to be used for the manufacture of
plywood and sawn timber. The planting cultivation Jabon besides helping provide the raw
materials the raw wood-based industry also help green wash of Earth. A tree with leaves and
canopy jabon is great very effectively absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. Land use is non
productive sleep land scattered in many areas, so that it can generate profit and could add income
community with how empowered and trained to participate in the process of cultivation occurring.
B. PURPOSE
The purpose of this proposal is made for :
1. As a solicitation in support of environmental sustainability, and contribute to oxygen by
means of planting trees, as well as investing in a safe and profitable.
2. Provide alternative income to the community, with empowerment and non-productive use
of idle land.
3. Obtain support and guarantee the marketing of the wood raw material industry which will
allow farmers and investors in marketing wood produced Jabon.
4. Obtain capital support for the expansion and development activities.
5. Provide an overview of planting Jabon of PT. Global Media Nusantara.
6. Get support from village government to central government.

THECONTENTS OF THE PROPOSAL
A. Name and Taxonomy Jabon
Latin Name : Anthocephalus cadamba (white jabon)
General Name : Jabon, kelampayan, empayang, worotua, jati ambon, jati bongsor, jati babon,
jati kebon
Kingdom : Plantae (Tumbuhan)
Division : Magnoliophyta (Berbunga)
Class : Magnoliopsida (berkepingdua/dikotil)
Ordo : Rubiales
Family : Rubiaceae (kopi kopian)
Genus : Anthocephalus
There are actually two species of cultivated can namely jabon jabon red (Anthocephalus
macrophyllus) and white jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba). The reason the company develop jabon
white because white jabon harvest more quickly (5-6 yrs) could reach more than 1 m3, whereas
jabon Red 8-10 yrs recently reached 1 m 3. Besides the quality of lumber produced by jabon white
already worthy and meets the standards to be used as the raw material production in general like
plywood, plywood, paper, furniture, floor/wall wood, children's toys, pencils, etc.
B. Why Choose Jabon to Cultivated?
Jabon is the actual lumber plant grows wild in the Woods. It actually used to be in tahun1970 is
very popular but due to the development of the exploitation of the forests and switching functions
forests into fields or gardens make this plant is hard to find. The plant is a plant that actually jabon
can be ground for conservation and forest because of its root fibers and has an awful lot to absorb
water. As forest plants, Jabon rarely cultivated because of the characteristics of the plants make the
cultivation of Jabon be unique and very dependent on the nature that can not be engineered. Jabon
began ogled by economic actors since the raw material timber industry has its limitations resources
that require alternative raw materials. The availability of industrial raw material timber like teak,
mahogany, sengon and others is very limited because it is aged slash trees relatively long (over 10
years).

7. Jabon Characteristic:
1) Jabon easy to grow without any special treatment and extreme.
2) Rod jabon have unique characteristics which are cylindrical and upright.
3) Branch jabon hairloss can by itself (self prunning) in accordance with the age and climate
so that it can optimize its stem flower growing independently.
4) Color yellowish white wood Jabon brass that qualify the characteristics of raw materials
furniture.
5) Solid smooth jabon wood fiber so it is very suitable for plywood raw material or furniture.
6) Jabon has grown at an altitude of ecology 0 to 2000 mdpl so has the scope of the wider
planting suitability than any other wood crops.
7) Jabon Plants can be grown on soil pH between 4.5 to 7.5.
8) Plants can grow Jabon areas with rainfall 1500 to 3000 mm / yr..
9) Temperature environment where plants grow jabon ranges between 140-400 c.
10) Age of slash jabon relatively short period that ranged from 5 to 7 years.
11) Economically, jabon is a raw material for manufacturing industry for plywood/plywood,
paper, furniture, handicrafts, pencils, chopsticks, toys for children, wooden floors, wooden
walls and others.
12) Jabon can harvest up to 2 times 1 time in planting crop

8. C. The Economic Value of an Enticing Jabon
Jabon plant a plant like gold, because the demand for wood will continue to increase, because the
current government banned the use of resulting timber of natural forests, resulting in many
industries closed due to shortage of wood supply, so in the future, Jabon timber prices will increase
steadily. Thus investing in the timber sector is very profitable and promising. Based on the
characteristics and advantages of jabon economically then we need to turn to jabon became one
alternative for the business because it has still wide open opportunities and potential return (the
return on capital) that are great for your investment activities. In 5-6 years, with optimal care,
growth will reach 1 m 3 jabon (one cubic meter) and current price perkubik to penetrate a number
more than 1 million Rupiahs.
The price of wood jabon per cubic in 2013 is as follows :
1. Diameter 25-29cm = Rp 800.000,-
2. Diameter 30-39cm
3. Diameter 40-49cm
4. Diameter >50cm,
=
=
=
Rp 1.100.000,-
Rp 1.200.000,-
Rp 1.300.000,-
This price is predicted to increase in line with the needs and demands are increasing each year,
while Jabon wood supplies are increasingly limited. The above price is the gross price, net prices in
the can after deducting fees, taxes and fees when harvesting.

10. F. Estimated Profit Yields
We offer the cooperation system for the results of planting jabon
We facilitate financier partners (investor) and the landlord with the results of cooperation
of mutual benefit with planting scheme for the results and the Akkadian sirkah.
The company fully committed by giving 200% CROPS and GUARANTEE protection
against FORCE MAJEURE.
The Mechanism Of Cooperation I-GIST :
The Target Tree Harvest Jabon I-GIST:
1. an average Tree diameter above 30 cm
2. average one tree has a volume of at least 1 m3 of wood
Prices listed below are rough estimation / forecast price see current conditions. Prices are subject to
change at any time following the market price – and take into account the costs, expenses,
transportation and taxes – retribution.
Estimated profit per acre (756 trees) using the assumption :
1. If the selling price FIXED per m3 jabon = Rp 1.200.000 * (5th10th)
2. Wood Volume per tree 1 m3
3. Percentage for results :
a. Harvest 1: 70% of investors; 20% owner of the Land; 10% I-GIST (5-6 years
old)
b. Harvest 2: 50% of investors; 35% of Landholders; 15% I-GIST (4-5 years old)
Total gross harvest = Rp 907.200.000,-
Slash Transport Costs and charges, tax and
Treasury village Rp 200.000 per tree x756 = Rp 151.200.000,-
NET yields = Rp 756.000.000,-
G
IS
CEN
TER

G
11. Then the calculation is based on the proportion of the benefits obtained :
I. First harvest :
1. Investor 70% = Rp 529.200.000,-
2. Landholder 20% = Rp 151.200.000,-
3. I-GIST 10% = Rp. 75.600.000,-
II. Second Harvest :
1. Investor 50% =Rp 378.000.000,-
2. Landholder 35% =Rp 264.600.000,-
3. I-GIST 15% =Rp. 113.400.000,-
So Total NET Profit Potential Investors :
Rp 529.200.000,- + Rp 378.000.000,- = Rp. 907.200.000,-
The following potential advantages for investors I-GIST using the medium estimate of
1,000,000 / m3, according to the package price on offer by PT.GAB, illustrated as follows :

14. Chapter 3
CONCLUSION
From the explanation that we describe in this proposal, can be drawn the conclusion that the :
1. Plant Jabon very beneficial for the environment and survival, because it can be a water-
absorbing plants, prevent landslides, filter carbon substances and oxygen is excellent
contributor.
2. Jabon is a plant that has a potentially important economic value that can be made in the
economic driving force of society by utilizing a non-productive land to become cultivated
land productive by jabon.
3. The pattern of partnerships that were developed as well as programs of CSR (Corporate
Social Responsibility) is expected to be mutually beneficial bridges between partners,
managers, industry and the community around the basic raw material wood, in an attempt
to increase the welfare and improvement of the welfare of the villagers.
4. Marketing and warranty guarantees the certainty of harvest given PT. Global Media
Nusantara give certainty to the people and financiers will market uptake in jabon produced
wood products, so there is certainty and optimism of the actors involved.
5. Jabon wood products will become the flagship product of the free market era, whose prices
will always go up, because the demand for wood will increase, while land will be
narrowed due to increasing human population and dwindling land area
