PT. GLOBAL MEDIA NUSANTARA is a company engaged in the field of technology (IT) since
2005 and has now opened its subsidiary namely PT. Global Argo Bisnis (PT. GAB) specifically
engaged in Agribusiness with the main Products I-GIST that is planting timber jabon, with systems
for results with the owner of the land and tree planter.
Headquarters located in the city of Bandung and has 15 branch offices spread throughout Indonesia

Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND
The needs of the global market for wood experienced a shortage where the wood needs increasing
sharply and at the same time narrowing process occurring forest area. This fact has opened up a
wide market for anyone investing in timber. Tropical forest area suffered substantial damage.
Logging without balanced with serious regeneration efforts being the main cause of this problem.
ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization) and the Government of the Republic of
Indonesia is currently prohibit all forms of illegal logging, so the demand for wood for production
automatically derived from the cultivation of planting timber, which resulted in the gap in demand
for wood with a production capability of trees.
It is therefore very necessary program of cultivating the wood commercially to produce quality
wood with a higher value. Wood is the hardwood growth jabon very fast, cylindrical and straight,
white-yellowish wood with no visible fibres are excellent to be used for the manufacture of
plywood and sawn timber. The planting cultivation Jabon besides helping provide the raw
materials the raw wood-based industry also help green wash of Earth. A tree with leaves and
canopy jabon is great very effectively absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. Land use is non
productive sleep land scattered in many areas, so that it can generate profit and could add income
community with how empowered and trained to participate in the process of cultivation occurring.
B. PURPOSE
The purpose of this proposal is made for :

means of planting trees, as well as investing in a safe and profitable.
2. Provide alternative income to the community, with empowerment and non-productive use
of idle land.
3. Obtain support and guarantee the marketing of the wood raw material industry which will
allow farmers and investors in marketing wood produced Jabon.
4. Obtain capital support for the expansion and development activities.
5. Provide an overview of planting Jabon of PT. Global Media Nusantara.
6. Get support from village government to central government.

THECONTENTS OF THE PROPOSAL

There are actually two species of cultivated can namely jabon jabon red (Anthocephalus
macrophyllus) and white jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba). The reason the company develop jabon

jabon Red 8-10 yrs recently reached 1 m 3. Besides the quality of lumber produced by jabon white
already worthy and meets the standards to be used as the raw material production in general like

B. Why Choose Jabon to Cultivated?

8. C. The Economic Value of an Enticing Jabon

3. Percentage for results :
a. Harvest 1: 70% of investors; 20% owner of the Land; 10% I-GIST (5-6 years
old)
b. Harvest 2: 50% of investors; 35% of Landholders; 15% I-GIST (4-5 years old)

CONCLUSION
From the explanation that we describe in this proposal, can be drawn the conclusion that the :
1. Plant Jabon very beneficial for the environment and survival, because it can be a water-
absorbing plants, prevent landslides, filter carbon substances and oxygen is excellent
contributor.
2. Jabon is a plant that has a potentially important economic value that can be made in the
economic driving force of society by utilizing a non-productive land to become cultivated
land productive by jabon.
3. The pattern of partnerships that were developed as well as programs of CSR (Corporate
Social Responsibility) is expected to be mutually beneficial bridges between partners,
managers, industry and the community around the basic raw material wood, in an attempt
to increase the welfare and improvement of the welfare of the villagers.
4. Marketing and warranty guarantees the certainty of harvest given PT. Global Media
Nusantara give certainty to the people and financiers will market uptake in jabon produced
wood products, so there is certainty and optimism of the actors involved.
