6. The boys collected leaves and other plants, next they filled a bucket
with rainwater. They dug a hole, put the bucket, buried leaves and
plants in pebbles, then dropped in other pond plants.
10. The box the students made could soon be filled with baby birds. They found
a quiet place in their garden and put the nest box there. In winter, lots of
wrens sometimes huddle together in nest boxes to keep warm.
12. The girls made two bird houses and put them in the garden.
They’ll give the birds a house, food and water to help them
survive during the cold season.
13. A WREN HOUSE
A wren house, made from
cardboard and leaves, will be
placed in our schoolyard.
