This document describes Dr. Mohammed Ali Awad Al-Dabbas's off-grid portable solar refrigerator called the Eco-fridge. 5. ABSTRACT
The present invention provides a solar refrigerator that operates without the
need for electricity and coolant by harnessing the evaporative cooling effect
as well as the solar energy.
The refrigerator of the present invention can produce low temperatures as low
as or below zero degree Celsius, wherein the zero-degree temperature.
The solar refrigerator of the present invention comprises essentially a body
with a door and shelves, and a cooling box.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of domestic solar refrigerators that
operate without electricity, Freon, evaporator, or condenser, and more
particularly to those solar refrigerators that harness the evaporative cooling
effect and that can produce ice.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The world’s main issue nowadays is the problem of energy. For this reason,
people now tend to use appliances that work on renewable energy due to its
relatively low cost.
